Dear parents & community members,
Our 2018 school year has had a busy start. Thanks to all members of the College community for your support of our recent Whole School Professional Development Day. Staff worked with visiting Senior Years Team curriculum officers to ensure their learning plans and associated assessment tasks supported students to optimise their achievement in Stage 2 / Year 12 courses. Professional learning from this day will flow through to Year 10 and Stage 1 courses.
Students have been reminded of our heading towards young adult behaviours in allowing students to bring mobile phones to College and only use them during recess and lunch break times. During class time, College expectations are that mobile phones are to be away and on silent during class / lesson / learning time, including change of lesson, unless the classroom teacher has given specific instruction to utilise student phones during learning activities.
Work Completion Reports for all students are being posted home with this newsletter. These reports show whether students are up to date with completion and submission of their work and the standard achieved. Please discuss these with your child and contact your child’s mentor or subject teacher if you have any queries. Mentors are discussing these work completion reports with students, in their role of monitoring academic progress.
